Due to deficiencies in the documentation and delayed payments, the main contractor suspended the works and terminated the contract. The dispute was heard by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Arbitration Institute (SCC).

We also assessed issues relating to interest, contractual penalties and joint and several liability. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) applied to the dispute.

About us

Legal solutions begin with understanding.

DARE Legal brings together experience in dispute resolution and transactions: from defence industry and infrastructure projects to private wealth structuring. In every matter we look at the whole picture and look for a solution that is legally sound and serves the client's objectives.

The right people for every question.

In every matter, we bring in the expertise the situation truly requires. Our experience in dispute resolution helps us spot risks in transactions, while our understanding of transactions allows us to approach disputes more strategically. In this way, different kinds of experience work together in the client's interest.

Sākam ar jautājumiem, nevis atbildēm.

First we listen, to understand the situation and what truly matters to the client. Only then do we look for a solution.

The law is only one part of the question.

The other part is the client's situation as a whole. That is why we assess every legal decision by its impact on goals, timelines and costs, and build our strategy on that basis.

Our work doesn’t end with a document.

Where needed, we also take part in negotiations, proceedings and the implementation of decisions, helping the client move from a legal question to a concrete result.
