1. What are cookies
Cookies are small files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. Your browser's storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) may be used in a similar way.
2. What cookies we use
The dare.legal website uses only technically necessary cookies that ensure the operation and security of the website and remember your cookie choice:
- cookieyes-consent: stores your cookie choice and a consent identifier, so that the cookie notice is not shown again. Retention: 1 year. Provided by: CookieYes;
- __cf_bm: a security cookie that helps distinguish visitors from automated traffic and protects the website against malicious requests. Retention: 30 minutes. Provided by: Cloudflare;
- __dpl: a technical cookie that ensures you are shown the current version of the website. Retention: 24 hours. Provided by: the website's hosting platform.
When you switch the website language, the place on the page where you were is briefly stored in your browser's session storage (sessionStorage), so that you return to the same place after the switch.
No analytics or marketing cookies are used on the website. Should this change in the future, this policy will be updated and your consent will be requested before such cookies are used.
The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is the firm's legitimate interest in ensuring the operation and security of the website.
3. Cookie consent management
Cookie choices are managed with the CookieYes service (CookieYes Limited). So that the firm can demonstrate the choice you made, CookieYes records a consent identifier, the cookie categories chosen, the date and time of the choice, your country and an anonymised IP address. These records are kept for up to 1 year.
4. How to manage cookies
- You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie settings" in the website footer;
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings (usually under Settings, Privacy and security);
- If technically necessary cookies are blocked, certain website functions may not work correctly.
5. Relation to the Privacy Policy
Further information on the processing of personal data is available in the DARE Legal Privacy Policy.
